OHL Roundup: Spencer Watson has five points in Frontenacs' win over Generals

KINGSTON, Ont. - Spencer Watson scored twice and tacked on three assists to lead the Kingston Frontenacs past the Oshawa Generals 5-4 on Friday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Michael Dal Colle also had a pair of goals and an assist for Kingston (31-14-4). Jacob Paquette added the other.

Anthony Cirelli had two goals and an assist for the Generals (18-26-7), with Lukas Lofquist and Mitchell Vande Sompel also chipping in.

Lucas Peressini kicked out 25 shots for the win as Jeremy Brodeur made 47 saves in the loss.

The Frontenacs went 1 for 2 with the man advantage while Oshawa scored once on four power-play opportunities.

BULLDOGS 5 67'S 3

OTTAWA — Trent Fox had a goal and two assists as Hamilton toppled the 67's.

Mitchell Mendonca, Niki Petti, Matt Luff and Michael Cramarossa supplied the rest of the offence for the Bulldogs (19-27-4).

Jeremiah Addison, Nevin Guy and Connor Warnholtz scored for Ottawa (25-23-2).

OTTERS 3 STING 2 (SO)

SARNIA, Ont. — Taylor Raddysh scored the only goal of the shootout as Erie slipped past the Sting.

Jake Marchment, shorthanded, and Darren Raddysh had goals in regulation for the Otters (40-7-1), who won their third straight.

Troy Lajeunesse and Jakob Chychrun, on the power play, scored for Sarnia (28-14-7), which had a four-game winning streak snapped.

WOLVES 5 FIREBIRDS 4 (OT)

FLINT, Mich. — Mikkel Aagaard scored at 4:09 of overtime as Sudbury topped the Firebirds.

Alan Lyszczarczyk, Brady Pataki, Michael Pezzetta and Dmitry Sokolov supplied the rest of the offence for the Wolves (13-33-4), who snapped a three-game losing skid.

Zack Pittman, Luke Kirwan, Ryan Moore and Connor Sills had goals for Flint (15-29-5).

STORM 4 SPIRIT 3 (SO)

GUELPH, Ont. — Nicolas Sicoly scored the only goal of the shootout as the Storm edged Saginaw.

Matthew Hotchkiss, on the power play, Marc Stevens, shorthanded, and Luke Burghardt had the others for Guelph (11-32-6).

Kris Bennett opened the scoring 29 seconds into the first for the Spirit (20-25-6), with Marcus Crawford and Mitchell Stephens also chipping in.

RANGERS 4 ICEDOGS 1

KITCHENER, Ont. — Adam Mascherin scored the first of three goals in the first period for the Rangers as they beat Niagara.

Mascherin would add another in the second for Kitchener (35-9-5). Gustaf Franzen and Jeremy Bracco rounded out the attack in the first with Miles Liberati tacking on three helpers.

Aaron Haydon had the lone goal for the IceDogs (25-18-6).

KNIGHTS 5 ATTACK 0

LONDON, Ont. — Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Mitchell Marner had a goal and three assists while Brendan Burke stopped 26 shots as the Knights shut out Owen Sound to snap a three-game skid.

Christian Dvorak scored twice and added an assist for London (35-11-3). Matthew Tkachuk and Aaron Berisha also chipped in.

Michael McNiven turned away 24 shots for the Attack (21-18-9).

GREYHOUNDS 5 STEELHEADS 3

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Gabe Guertler had a goal and two assists as Sault Ste. Marie beat the Steelheads.

Tim Gettinger, Blake Speers, Boris Katchouk and Zachary Senyshyn supplied the rest of the offence for the Greyhounds (23-20-6).

Jason Smith, Owen Tippett and Daniel Muzito-Bagenda scored for Mississauga (25-23-4).
