NEW YORK, N.Y. - Marian Gaborik made up for a frustrating night by scoring in the third round of a shootout to give the New York Rangers a 2-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday night.

Gaborik gave goalie Jonas Hiller a head fake, then a little shimmy before tucking the puck past him. That left it up to New York's Henrik Lundqvist, who stopped Bobby Ryan and then pumped his fist as the crowd roared in approval.

Ryan, who beat New York in a shootout last month in Stockholm, scored the tying goal late in the second period for Anaheim after Jeff Woywitka put New York up with his first Rangers goal, late in the first.

Gaborik assisted on that goal, but otherwise had nothing to show despite two excellent power-play scoring chances.

The Rangers have earned points in six of eight games (5-2-1).

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Patrik Elias and Zach Parise scored in the shootout to lift New Jersey over Philadelphia.

Elias netted the winner on New Jersey's third attempt of the tiebreaker. Parise beat Sergei Bobrovsky on the stick side on the Devils' first try.

Danny Briere scored the only shootout goal for Philadelphia. His goal was reviewed after he appeared to skid to a stop in front of Johan Hedberg, using the fake to put in the easy goal.

David Clarkson tied the game 3-3 late in the third period after a turnover by the Flyers. Parise and Adam Henrique scored in the second to rally the Devils from a 2-0 hole.

Zac Rinaldo and Claude Giroux scored second-period goals for the Flyers. Max Talbot scored in the third on a penalty shot for a 3-2 lead.

Rinaldo and Henrique each scored their first NHL goals.

DETROIT (AP) — Jarome Iginla scored twice on similar one-timers, and Calgary beat slumping Detroit.

The Red Wings have dropped six straight (0-5-1) after winning their first five. They held Calgary to 22 shots but managed only Danny Cleary's second-period goal off a strange bounce.

Lee Stempniak scored in the first period for the Flames, and Olli Jokinen added an empty-net goal off an assist from Iginla. Miikka Kiprusoff made 28 saves.

Detroit has scored six goals in its last six games. The Red Wings were held under 31 shots for the first time this season.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Clarke MacArthur scored twice in his 300th NHL game, providing all the offence needed to make Ben Scrivens a winner in his NHL debut, and Toronto topped Columbus.

Joey Crabb and John-Michael Liles also scored for the fast-starting Maple Leafs (9-3-1). Joffrey Lupul added two assists.

Scrivens stopped 38 shots, including a few early that allowed the Maple Leafs to build a 4-0 lead despite playing their second game in two nights.

Phil Kessel, with 10 goals and 10 assists in the team's first 12 games, was limited to one assist.

Ryan Johansen, a rookie the Blue Jackets kept on the roster this week, scored his third.

The Maple Leafs scored four goals on 11 shots against goalie Steve Mason before he was pulled in the second period.

The Blue Jackets outshot Toronto 39-18 but were never in it.

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Patrick Kane scored the only goal in a shootout, lifting Chicago over Florida.

Corey Crawford stopped all three shootout attempts before Kane's backhander beat Jacob Markstrom.

Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa scored in regulation for Chicago. Crawford stopped 41 shots.

Ed Jovanovski and Stephen Weiss had goals for Florida, and Markstrom made 31 saves.

Florida tied it 2-2 with 2:04 left in regulation when Jovanovski deflected a shot from Dmitry Kulikov and tipped it past Crawford.

UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) — Ondrej Pavelec stopped all 34 shots he faced, and Evander Kane provided all the offence Winnipeg needed in a shutout victory over the New York Islanders.

Johnny Oduya and Alexander Burmistrov also scored for the Jets, who have won three of four.

Oduya gave the Jets an insurance goal with 3:56 left when he fired an in-close shot past goalie Rick DiPietro. Burmistrov added an empty-netter with 2:16 remaining.

DiPietro made 23 saves for the Islanders, who have lost six straight (0-4-2). New York went 0-for-3 on the power play and didn't give up a man advantage to Winnipeg.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Matt Cullen had two goals and an assist for Minnesota, and the Wild let their sputtering offence loose by dominating Vancouver from start to finish with 45 shots.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard scored and had two assists. Guillaume Latendresse and Marco Scandella also had goals for the Wild, who won their third straight game, all with backup Josh Harding in goal.

After missing last season while recovering from two torn knee ligaments, Harding is 3-0-1 — with 98 saves over his last three games on 100 shots. He made 24 saves against the Canucks.

Defenceman Dan Hamhuis scored the game's first goal just 2:20 in for Vancouver.
