QMJHL Roundup: A look at Sunday's games

Marvin Cupper made 25 saves Sunday as the Shawinigan Cataractes defeated the Saint John Sea Dogs 3-2 in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

J.C. Campagna, with a goal and an assist, Olivier Jodouin and Frederick Gaudreau scored for Shawinigan (3-13-2).

Ryan Tesink, with a goal and an assist of his own, and Jonathan Huberdeau replied for the Sea Dogs (9-9-0), who were playing their 500th regular-season game in the QMJHL.

Alex Fournier stopped 5-of-7 shots in the first period, before giving way to Sebastien Auger who made 19 saves on 20 shots in relief in the last two periods for Saint John.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was: Acadie-Bathurst 6, Blainville-Boisbriand 3; Chicoutimi 6, Drummondville 2; Val-d'Or 5, Gatineau 3; and Rimouski 6, Halifax 5 (SO).

At Saint Joh, N.B., the Cataractes scored in quick succession late in the first period to take a 2-0 lead to the locker-room. Jodouin scored at 15:06 and Gaudreau doubled the Cataractes' lead just 41 seconds later.

Huberdeau got the Sea Dogs on the board with his 11th of the season at 10:56 of the second.

Campagna scored on the power play at 4:33 of the third to make it 3-1.

Tesink brought the Sea Dogs back to within one goal at 11:13 but they would get no closer.

Titan 6, Armada 3

At Bathurst, N.B., Brandon Hynes had two goals and an assist as the Titan (8-8-4) doubled up Blainville-Boisbriand (13-5-2).

Sagueneens 6, Voltigeurs 2

At Chicoutimi, Que., Gabriel Gagnon scored twice as the Sagueneens (7-10-3) downed Drummondville (9-10-0).

Foreurs 5, Olympiques 3

At Gatineau, Que., Nicolas Aube-Kubel had two goals as Val-d'Or (9-7-2) got past the Olympiques (6-10-1).

Oceanic 6, Mooseheads 5 (SO)

At Rimouski, Que., Simon Fortier scored the winner in the 11th round of the shootout as the Oceanic (11-6-2) defeated Halifax (16-1-1).
